Seven Players Heading to Spain

CL Futbol is proud to announce that seven players in the Hercules CF camp were identified to train with their own age group in the A category of their club. The youth academy of Hercules CF is in the highest division of Spanish youth football. This means they compete with the likes of Real Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, etc. While their first team is in the second division, their academy is competing at the highest level of Spanish football. With the first team in the second division of Spanish football, it gives our players an opportunity to quickly make the jump from academy football to professional football.

Four 2001 players, one 2002 player, and two 2003 players will be travelling as early as October to Hercules CF in Spain to compete against their potential teammates in training. This will give the coaching staff at Hercules CF the opportunity to gauge our players against their own. With six out of the seven players currently playing for CL Futbol, we are proud of the relationship we have established with the club.

CL Futbol representatives will be flying to Spain in August to meet with the Technical Director in charge of both the youth teams and reserve team to discuss potential pathways for Canadian players. These types of opportunities should be available for our serious footballers and that is the goal of CL Futbol's organization.
